Ideal Brands Saltwater System

A salt water hot tub feels amazing. The Ideal Brands Wi-Fi Saltwater System is easy to use and program. Simply set the controller free App from 1 to 24 each representing an hour of run time per day so if you want it to run for 8 hours each day then you set it on 8, if you need more just go up in number(s) and if you need less, go down in number(s). You will start by adding 2 cups of pool salt per 100 of hot tub water, until you reach between 1500-2200 ppm of salt in your hot tub water.  The free App will show you the runtime, salt level and temperature of the water.  Knowing the temperature of the water, lets you know if your hot tub is running within the correct temperature range for your climate.

With the Ideal Saltwater System you can install it 3 different ways and the kit includes just what you need. Installation types (see box for illustrations)

1. "universal", use an existing GFCI outlet, install the outdoor rated control on the side of the hot tub and place the salt cell in the water.

2. "custom", use one of the included wiring harnesses to capture power from your hot tub's equipment, install the controller under the cabinet or on the outside of the hot tub and place the salt cell into the water.

3. "professional", use one of the included wiring harnesses to capture power from your hot tub's equipment, install the controller under the cabinet, install the included passthrough for a clean look allowing you to go from the equipment into the water with your salt water cell.
