iCare, Smart Water Moniter for Chlorine Or Bromine

Just unpacked my newly received eyecare unit. Calibrated the pH probe and put the unit out in the hot tub while the pH probe worked and gave readings inside the house. The unit once placed in the hot tub gave temperature dissolved solids sanitizer levels, but no pH reading this is a brand new unit and I’ve never had this problem before With prior units. Could you help me figure out what’s going on?

The PH monitor stopped working and battery wouldn’t charge on my old iCare after a year and a half. Bought a new one- again- the PH monitor isn’t working.
